The 2024 Mazda CX-50 2.5 S Preferred Package stands out as a strong value choice, with a robust list of standard features that are often extra-cost upgrades on similarly priced SUVs. Included are heated front bucket seats, dual-zone automatic temperature control, a power liftgate, rain-sensing wipers, rear window wiper, and MAZDA CONNECT emergency communication. These features come built in, allowing buyers to maximize their investment without resorting to higher trims or add-ons.

For detail-oriented buyers who analyze spec sheets line by line, this SUV offers a compelling balance of equipment and utility. Features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a rear seat center armrest, and split folding rear seat provide convenience for daily routines and flexibility for families. In regions like Lakeland, FL, standard features such as rain-sensing wipers and heated door mirrors make commuting easier during unpredictable weather, all without the hidden costs found on many competing models.

Performance value is clear with the SKYACTIV-G 2.5L 4-cylinder DOHC 16V engine and automatic transmission, paired to all-wheel drive for enhanced capability. This drivetrain provides sure-footed handling in various road conditions and supports a smooth, practical driving experience. With an EPA-estimated 24 city and 30 highway MPG, the CX-50 delivers fuel efficiency that keeps ownership costs down, and proven mechanicals help ensure reliable, cost-effective operation over time.

Standard safety features contribute significant value by reducing the need for costly upgrades. The CX-50 comes with ABS brakes, electronic stability control, dual front impact airbags, dual front side impact airbags, a knee airbag, brake assist, and a rearview camera. Active systems like traction control and auto high-beam headlights are also included. These features mean enhanced protection and driver confidence right from the start, while many rivals require option packages for similar coverage.

The list of included amenities extends to an 8-speaker AM/FM/HD audio system, automatic temperature control, front and rear reading lights, fully automatic headlights, heated door mirrors, leather shift knob, leather steering wheel, power driver seat, and remote keyless entry. Comfort touches like half leatherette seat trim, illuminated entry, and rear window defroster add to the everyday usability. Steering wheel mounted audio controls, a trip computer, and MAZDA CONNECT integration further increase the feature-per-dollar value.

Against competitors like the Toyota RAV4 XLE and Honda CR-V EX, the CX-50 2.5 S Preferred Package shines by including heated front seats, rain-sensing wipers, and a power liftgate as standard. These features are often only available with extra-cost packages or higher trims on other SUVs. Mazda’s all-wheel drive is also standard, offering more utility for the price when compared to rivals that may charge more for similar capability.

What’s included as standard equipment? The CX-50 comes with heated front seats, power liftgate, dual-zone automatic temperature control, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, MAZDA CONNECT emergency communication, and a rearview camera. Is this vehicle worth the price? Yes, because the feature set matches or beats higher-priced trims from other brands.
