About Connersville

Bone Valley country surrounds this small unincorporated community southeast of Bartow, and the phosphate industry wrote most of its story. Central Florida sits atop deposits formed when an ancient sea covered the peninsula, and by the early 1900s more than 200 companies worked the region. Street names still carry the record.
